A Haunted Escape Room at a Chocolate Factory
Every October, Seattle Chocolate, makers of Maeve and jcoco chocolates, hosts a unique, spooky experience at its factory in Tukwila. This year, climb aboard Greg Glitter’s glitter-drenched spaceship for an intergalactic escape room adventure like no other. Guided by the patron saint of the Moon Rocks flavor, you’ll journey to a haunted planet in search of the legendary cosmic cacao. But first, you’ll need to solve a series of puzzles and brave the ghostly garden to help Greg complete his mission.
This 50-minute experience is perfect for adventurers, puzzle lovers, and chocolate fans. Complete the challenge, and you might just take home some cosmic cacao.

Burien Brat Trot
What could be better than a fun run in crisp fall weather? Burien Brat Trot is a 5k Run/Walk and Kids 1k Fun Run that benefits the Highline Schools Foundation. Come for the exercise and stay for prizes, treats, and an all-ages after party hosted by Logan Brewing Company.

Discover an immersive wonderland of fall colors at the Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden’s annual Fall Foliage Festival. This free event showcases Japanese maples, deciduous azaleas, and much more. Enjoy a bite from a food truck or a sweet drink from a coffee cart before joining a garden tour or plant talk. You can also shop for plants, garden gifts, and books.
Note: the garden is across from the Pacific Bonsai Museum, so you can easily visit both sites in one day.
